About the Centre for Business and Commercial Laws (CBCL), NLIU:
Established in 2008, CBCL is a “Centre for Excellence” at the National Law Institute University (NLIU), Bhopal. The Centre promotes research and awareness in corporate and commercial laws through its flagship Journal of Business Laws, the CBCL Blog, and collaborations with leading law firms. It aims to facilitate discourse in business and legal spheres while equipping students with practical knowledge.
About the 10th NLIU-Trilegal Summit on Corporate and Commercial Laws:
The Summit, marking its 10th anniversary, is a prestigious platform where scholars, students, and professionals gather to exchange ideas on contemporary issues in corporate and commercial laws. In collaboration with Trilegal, one of India’s leading law firms, the Summit has gained an international outlook and invites participants globally.
This year’s theme focuses on Emerging Trends in Corporate and Commercial Laws, offering participants a chance to showcase their work before a distinguished panel of legal experts, including Trilegal Partners. Selected papers will be published in the NLIU-Trilegal Summit Book, and top three presentations will win exciting prizes.

- Dates: March 7–9, 2025

- Mode: Offline
- Eligibility: Open to students, academicians, and professionals. Submissions must be original and unpublished.
Submission Guidelines:
Participants can submit manuscripts under the following categories:
- Long Articles: 4000–7000 words
- Short Articles: 2000–4000 words
- Case Comments: 2000–4000 words
- Legislative Comments: 2000–4000 words
- Book Reviews: 1000–3000 words
Submissions should align with OSCOLA (4th Edition) citation style and follow the prescribed formatting rules. Abstracts (250–300 words) are mandatory.
Themes and Sub-Themes:
Submissions should explore innovative approaches to topics within corporate and commercial laws. Indicative areas include:
- Mergers & Acquisitions
- Private Equity and Venture Capital
- Cross-Border Insolvency
- Global Competition Law
- Corporate Governance and more.
