Dr. Ram Manohar Lohiya National Law University (RMLNLU), established in 2006, is one of India’s premier national law universities. It was founded to address the evolving challenges in the field of law while fostering academic excellence. The RMLNLU International Legal Essay Writing Competition and Conference on Insolvency Law (RILEC) is an annual flagship event of the university. Since its inception in 2013, RILEC has grown into a prestigious international competition, attracting legal scholars, professionals, and students from across the globe.
Each edition of RILEC has focused on contemporary and pressing legal issues, providing a platform for participants to engage in rigorous legal scholarship. The 12th edition of RILEC will revolve around Insolvency Law, covering key issues such as corporate debt restructuring, creditors’ rights, and the evolving landscape of insolvency regulations.
This year, RILEC is being conducted in collaboration with Lakshmikumaran & Sridharan (L&S), a leading law firm specializing in corporate and commercial laws, dispute resolution, taxation, and intellectual property. L&S has a distinguished history of handling complex insolvency and bankruptcy matters in India, making them an ideal partner for this event.
