The 1st KIIT International Moot Court Competition, hosted by KIIT School of Law in collaboration with Nani Palkhivala Arbitration Centre (NPAC) as the Knowledge and Academic Partner, brings an enriching opportunity for law students around the globe to compete on an intellectually rigorous platform. With a moot proposition crafted by the esteemed law firm Wadia Ghandy & Co., the competition focuses on the theme of International Commercial Arbitration, encouraging participants to sharpen their advocacy, research, and analytical skills. This competition not only promises a rewarding academic challenge but also presents one of the highest prize pools in India for moot court events.

The competition will be conducted in multiple rounds over three days, beginning with preliminary rounds and culminating in the final oral arguments. Teams will be evaluated on the basis of:
Judges will include seasoned academicians, legal professionals, and arbitrators. The proposition will revolve around complex themes in international arbitration, pushing teams to demonstrate not only legal knowledge but strategic thinking and articulation.

Eligibility: Open to students enrolled in either 3-year or 5-year law programs from universities recognized by the Bar Council of India.

Team/Individual:
Participation is team-based. Each team must consist of three members – two speakers and one researcher.
Q1: Who is eligible to participate?
A: Law students currently enrolled in a 3-year or 5-year law program from BCI-recognized institutions.
Q2: Is a recommendation/reference required?
A: No, references are not required at the time of registration.
Q3: Will all participants receive a certificate?
A: Yes, all participants will be awarded certificates. Winners and special category awardees will receive additional recognition.
Q4: Is there a registration fee?
A: Yes. Indian teams must pay ₹8,000, while international teams must pay $150 USD.
Q5: Can international students apply?
A: Yes, international law students from recognized institutions are welcome to participate.
