About MNLU Mumbai

Maharashtra National Law University Mumbai, established in 2014, is among India’s premier legal institutions. Its mission is to advance legal education and research, fostering an environment for intellectual growth, advocacy training, and social transformation.

About the Event

Organized by the Centre for Training and Research in Commercial Regulations (CTRCR) at MNLU Mumbai, the 1st National Corporate Client Counselling Competition provides law students a unique platform to engage in complex corporate legal scenarios. The event focuses on client interaction, legal interpretation, and counseling strategies within a corporate law framework. Open to students from 3-year or 5-year law programs, the competition also welcomes recent graduates (within six months).

Participants will address a broad spectrum of corporate legal challenges, from competition law to FinTech regulations, offering an unparalleled experience in client management and problem-solving. The winners and top performers will receive cash prizes, internship opportunities, and certificates.

Event Dates

Format/Structure

• Preliminary Rounds (Online)
  • Dates: February 21–23, 2025
  • Teams: 32 teams (institutional and mixed).
  • Rounds: Three unique propositions, one per day.
  • Evaluation: Cumulative scores. Top 4 teams advance.
  • Clients: Role-played by MNLU Mumbai students.
• Advanced Rounds (Offline)
  • Dates: April 12–14, 2025, on-campus.
  • Semi-Finals: Top 4 teams compete, judged by a 4-person bench.
  • Finals: Top 2 teams face a 6-person bench.

• Eligibility: Open to 3-year and 5-year law students, and recent graduates.
• Team Composition: 2–3 members per team.
• Registration Fee: ₹4,000 for preliminary rounds; ₹5,000 for advanced rounds.
• Subject Matter: Includes Competition Law, Company Law, Banking Regulations, FinTech Law, M&A, and more.
