About the 2nd CCI-CUSB National Moot Court Competition
This flagship event, organized in collaboration with the Competition Commission of India (CCI), focuses on emerging jurisprudence in Competition Law. The moot proposition, set in the Republic of Aranyapur, addresses the interplay between competition law and intellectual property rights (IPR). With hybrid rounds, this competition aims to simulate a professional courtroom environment while enhancing research and advocacy skills among participants.

Format and Structure
The competition is conducted in two stages:
- Preliminary Rounds: Held online via Google Meet on January 12, 2025.
- Knockout Rounds: Includes quarter-finals, semi-finals, and finals, conducted physically on the CUSB campus.
Each team will prepare and submit memorials for both sides of the case, addressing procedural and substantive legal issues.
Location
The on-campus rounds will take place at CUSB’s picturesque campus in Gaya, located near Bodh Gaya, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, and the iconic Vishnupad Temple.
Additional Details
- Eligibility: Open to students enrolled in 3-year or 5-year LL.B. programs in India.
- Team Composition: Teams may consist of 2-3 members; cross-institutional teams are allowed.
- Awards: Prizes worth over ₹1,00,000, including trophies, certificates, and SCC Online subscriptions.
