About the Organizers

The Centre for Advanced Research on Corporate and Insolvency Laws (CARCIL) at Chanakya National Law University (CNLU), Patna, is dedicated to fostering research and discourse in corporate and insolvency law. In association with Luthra and Luthra Law Offices India, a leading law firm specializing in corporate advisory and dispute resolution, CARCIL brings the 2nd Edition of the Contract Drafting Competition under Vidhikta 3.0.

About the Competition

The Contract Drafting Competition 2025 challenges participants to draft a Shareholders’ Agreement for a Joint Venture Company. This problem statement requires addressing crucial legal and commercial concerns, including:

• Capital Structuring
• Affirmative Voting Rights
• Deadlock Resolution
• Funding Mechanisms
• Corporate Governance & Dispute Resolution

Participants will gain hands-on drafting experience, enhancing their understanding of corporate and commercial law.

• Participants must draft a comprehensive Shareholders’ Agreement based on the given problem statement.
• Submissions will be evaluated based on legal accuracy, structure, clarity, and commercial viability.
