About the Competition

The 2nd National Level Essay Writing Competition, organized by the TNNLU Pro Bono Club, provides law students with an opportunity to explore critical issues in pro bono advocacy. This competition encourages participants to delve into questions surrounding access to justice and the role of young lawyers in pro bono services. Participants will have the opportunity to contribute their thoughts on shaping the future of pro bono legal services in India.

Eligibility

  • Open to all undergraduate (three-year/five-year course) and postgraduate law students from law schools, universities, or colleges recognized by the Bar Council of India.
  • Only individual entries are allowed; co-authorship is not permitted.

Registration Fee

  • INR 100/- per participant

Submission Guidelines

  • Language: English
  • Font: Times New Roman, Size 12, 1.5 Spacing
  • Margins: One inch on all sides, content justified
  • Word Limit: 2500 – 3000 words (excluding footnotes)
  • Footnote Font: Times New Roman, Size 10, Single Spacing
  • Citation Style: 20th Edition Bluebook
  • Plagiarism Policy: Essays with more than 15% similarity will be disqualified.

Participants must submit their essays in a Word document with the following details on the cover page: Name, Affiliation, Mobile Number, and Email ID.
