About the Competition

The 4th National Judgment Writing Competition is a distinguished platform aimed at honing analytical and critical reasoning skills among law students nationwide. This competition is crafted to challenge participants to adopt the perspective of a judge, encouraging them to analyze cases thoroughly, evaluate evidence, and render well-reasoned, innovative judgments grounded in the factual matrix provided. Judging criteria emphasize clarity, legal accuracy, coherence, and the depth of legal analysis in each participant’s judgment. Through this process, participants will not only develop essential legal skills but also gain insights into judicial reasoning, making this competition an invaluable opportunity for aspiring legal professionals.


Event Details

  • Mode: Entirely online, allowing participants to engage from their respective institutions.
  • Eligibility: Open to all students currently enrolled in recognized law programs in India, including both 3-year and 5-year LL.B. programs.

Registration Process

To participate, interested candidates must register through the following link: Google Form Registration. Participants can compete individually or in teams (consisting of an author and a co-author). The registration fees are detailed below, with payment options available through bank transfer or UPI.

Competition Format

The competition offers an array of prestigious awards for top-performing participants. Every participant will receive an e-certificate of participation, while the top three winners will be awarded the following:

  • Second Position: 1st Runner-Up Trophy, Medal, and Certificate of Appreciation
  • Third Position: 2nd Runner-Up Medal and Certificate of Appreciation
