National Law University Odisha (NLUO) was established in 2009 and is a leading national law university located in Cuttack, Odisha. With a rich legal heritage and its close association with the Orissa High Court, NLUO is dedicated to advancing legal education and research in India.
About the Centre for Public Health Law (CPHL)
The Centre for Public Health Law (CPHL) was established in January 2021 to promote research in public health laws and examine the legal entitlements under the right to health. The center works towards ensuring health equity through law and policy research.
About the 4th NLUO Bharat Biotech Public Health Law Moot Court Competition
NLUO is a pioneer in developing and teaching Public Health Law as a specialized course in India. This virtual national moot aims to:
- Encourage law students to critically analyze public health laws and policies.
- Foster discussions on legal challenges in healthcare and distributive fairness in health infrastructure.
- Provide an opportunity to argue before eminent legal luminaries, public health experts, and senior advocates.
Previous Editions
The past editions saw over 90 teams from National Law Universities, government law colleges, and private law schools competing at the highest level. The final rounds have been judged by:

Eligibility Criteria
- Open to students enrolled in a three-year LL.B. or five-year integrated LL.B. program.
