About the Moot Court Committee (ALMCC), Adamas University
The Adamas Law Moot Court Committee (ALMCC) of Adamas University, School of Law and Justice, is a student-led body that organizes moot court competitions, advocacy training, and legal research initiatives. The committee ensures that all activities adhere to a structured set of rules and regulations.
The 4th Adamas Moot Court Competition was a significant success, featuring Hon’ble Justice Ananya Bandyopadhyay of the Calcutta High Court. Encouraged by this achievement, ALMCC is now organizing the 5th Adamas Moot Court Competition, 2025.
About the 5th Adamas Moot Court Competition, 2025
The 5th Adamas Moot Court Competition, 2025, is set to take place from April 10-12, 2025, at Adamas Knowledge City, Barasat Barrackpore Road, Kolkata. This competition is open to law students across India, offering an opportunity to engage in legal argumentation, research, and advocacy.
Theme of the Moot
The moot problem focuses on:
- Constitutional validity of disruption regulation
- Evidentiary admissibility in criminal cases
- Procedural aspects of courtroom litigation
- Conflicts between national security laws and fundamental rights, particularly freedom of speech and expression
Eligibility
- Open to law students enrolled in 3-year LL.B. or 5-year integrated LL.B. undergraduate programs.
Registration Fees and Process
- Registration Fee: ₹1,800 (exclusive of accommodation)
- Registration Deadline: April 2, 2025
- Teams must complete the payment before filling out the registration form and attach the payment proof.
- Non-refundable in case of withdrawal.
