About the 6th Gavelled Moot Court Competition
The Gavelled Moot Court Competition is the flagship event of the School of Law, LPU. It aims to stimulate legal awareness and enhance advocacy skills by challenging participants with contemporary legal issues. This year, the competition will explore themes related to caste-based discrimination, digital evidence, and mob justice under the new criminal code. Law students from across the country will have the opportunity to engage in intellectually stimulating debates and refine their mooting skills in a competitive environment.

Format & Structure
- Researcher’s Test: March 20, 2025
- Preliminary Rounds: March 21, 2025 (Two Rounds)
- Quarter Finals: March 21, 2025
- Semi Finals & Grand Finale: March 22, 2025
- Each team will consist of two speakers and one researcher.
- Participants must submit memorials for both the petitioner and respondent sides.
Location
The competition will be held at Lovely Professional University, Phagwara, Punjab.

- Winning Team: Trophy, Certificate & Prize Money of ₹51,000
- Runner-up Team: Trophy, Certificate & Prize Money of ₹31,000
- Best Speaker: Trophy, Certificate & Prize Money of ₹10,000
- Best Researcher: Trophy, Certificate & Prize Money of ₹10,000
- Best Memorial: Trophy, Certificate & Prize Money of ₹10,000
- All participants will receive Certificates of Participation.

- Eligibility: Open to undergraduate law students (3-year & 5-year courses) from any college/university.
