About the University

The National Forensic Sciences University (NFSU), established by the Government of Gujarat in 2009, is globally recognized as the first university dedicated solely to forensic sciences and allied fields. An Institution of National Importance since 2020, NFSU offers cutting-edge legal education, focusing on forensic applications to law and justice. The School of Law, Forensic Justice & Policy Studies at NFSU fosters techno-legal experts, contributing significantly to governance and justice delivery systems.

About the Event

The Pro Bono Club and Legal Assistance Cell, School of Law, Forensic Justice & Policy Studies, NFSU, is organizing the 2nd Pro Bono and Legal Aid Conclave with the theme “Justice Synergy – Interconnecting Legal Systems and Social Justice.” The event aims to promote pro bono initiatives and enhance legal aid awareness among participants while fostering a culture of justice and inclusivity.

The Conclave will feature workshops, stakeholder consultations, and seven competitions designed to cultivate practical legal skills and address access-to-justice challenges.

Competitions

  1. RTI Drafting Competition (Infoscribe): Online submission of RTI drafts.
  2. PIL Drafting Competition (Public Cause Pursuit): Enhances drafting skills for public interest cases.
  3. Consumer Complaint Drafting (Claim It!): Focuses on protecting consumer rights.
  4. Client Counseling (Client Compass): An offline event emphasizing lawyer-client interaction.
  5. Mentoring Competition (Margadarshan): Participants impart knowledge on legal issues to diverse audiences.
  6. Research Paper Presentation (Insight Ignite): Offline presentation of research papers on critical legal issues.
  7. SOP and Policy Recommendation (Policy Prism): Drafting comprehensive recommendations for specific legal challenges.

Prizes

  • Winner: ₹12,000
  • First Runner-Up: ₹9,000
  • Second Runner-Up: ₹5,000
