About the Event

The 5th CHRIST Med-Arb Competition (CMAC), hosted by the Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR) Board of CHRIST School of Law, is a premier event focused on Mediation and Arbitration. Designed to foster practical skills in Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR), the competition blends the dynamics of mediation and arbitration, simulating real-world dispute resolution scenarios.

Event Dates

Format/Structure

• Rounds: Preliminary, Quarterfinals, Semifinals, and Finals.
• Team Composition: Three members per team—two as client-counsel pairs and one as Mediator/Arbitrator.
• ADR Modes: Each round comprises a Mediation session followed by an Arbitration session.
• Cap: 40 teams from leading law schools will participate.

The event will be held offline at CHRIST (Deemed to be University), Bengaluru.

• Awards:
  • Best Mediator: ₹15,000
  • Best Med-Arb Client Advocate Team: ₹15,000
  • Best Arbitral Award, Best Preliminary Med-Arb Team, Best Memorial: ₹7,500 each.
• Registration Fee: ₹7,000 per team (details provided upon confirmation).
• Accommodation: Information will be shared after registration.
