Format and Structure

The internship programme offers both online and offline formats.

  • Online Internship:
    • Duration: 30 days
    • Mode: One daily session conducted virtually
    • Focus: Conceptual understanding of IPR, laws, and administrative processes
  • Offline Internship:
    • Duration varies:
      • 30 days for undergraduate students
      • 45 days, 6 months, or up to 12 months depending on applicant profile and CGPDTM’s discretion
    • Venue: IP offices across India
    • Focus: Practical exposure, training with available facilities, access to official IP databases, and interaction with IP officials

At the end of the internship, interns are required to submit a report summarizing their learning outcomes.

Locations: IP Offices in Mumbai, Delhi, Kolkata, Chennai, Ahmedabad, Nagpur, and other regional offices handling patents, designs, trademarks, and GIs.
