About the Organization
NITI Aayog (National Institution for Transforming India) is the apex public policy think tank of the Government of India, established in 2015 to replace the Planning Commission. It plays a central role in formulating strategies for India’s development, focusing on cooperative federalism, sustainable growth, innovation, and evidence-based policymaking.
NITI Aayog’s Internship Scheme is one of the most prestigious opportunities for students and research scholars, giving them exposure to government functioning and developmental policy issues while contributing to real-time policy formulation.
About the Event
The NITI Internship Scheme seeks to engage undergraduate, graduate, postgraduate students, and research scholars from recognized universities/institutions in India and abroad as “interns.”
Interns are given opportunities to:
- Work with different verticals, divisions, and units of NITI Aayog
- Collect, analyze, and collate data for empirical policy analysis
- Prepare briefing reports, policy papers, and evaluations
