About the Event

NLU Delhi is pleased to announce its Online Certificate Course on International Trade and Investment Law, scheduled from 11th – 15th September 2025.

The program aims to provide participants with an in-depth understanding of the complexities of international trade, foreign investment regulations, and the challenges posed by evolving global economic policies. With trade tensions, reciprocal tariffs, and investor-state dispute mechanisms becoming increasingly significant, this course will equip participants with the knowledge and skills to analyze and navigate these issues effectively.

The course will be led by eminent legal scholars, including Prof. (Dr.) Aniruddha Rajput (Distinguished Professor, NLU Delhi; Former Member and Chairperson of the Drafting Committee, International Law Commission 2017–22) and Professor Prabhash Ranjan (Vice Dean (Research), Jindal Global Law School).

Format and Structure

The Certificate Course on International Trade and Investment Law will be conducted online. Sessions will cover key concepts such as:

• Bilateral Investment Treaties (BITs)
• National Treatment (NT)
• Most-Favoured-Nation (MFN)
• Fair and Equitable Treatment (FET)
• Full Protection and Security (FPS)
• Investor-State Dispute Settlement (ISDS)
• Dispute resolution and handling of international investment disputes

Evaluation will be based on active participation and successful completion of the course requirements. All participants will be awarded an official certificate from NLU Delhi.
