About the Event

The MAIMS 5th National Moot Court Competition 2024, in collaboration with the Bar Council of Delhi, aims to provide a stage for law students to showcase their advocacy, legal research, and critical thinking abilities. This prestigious competition invites participation from law schools across India, where teams will face complex legal problems designed to challenge their understanding and application of the law.

The competition will take place on 8th, 9th, 25th, and 26th November 2024, with the inaugural ceremony and preliminary rounds held online, while the advanced rounds will be conducted offline at the MAIMS campus in Rohini, Delhi.

Competition Structure:

  1. Preliminary Rounds (Online): 9th November 2024
  2. Quarter-Final Rounds (Offline): 25th November 2024
  3. Semi-Final Rounds (Offline): 25th November 2024
  4. Final Round (Offline): 26th November 2024

The competition is designed to rigorously test participants’ knowledge of the law through multiple stages, where only the best teams will advance to the offline rounds. Participants will be judged based on their legal acumen, presentation, and research skills.

Eligibility

The competition is open to students enrolled in a three-year LL.B. program or a five-year integrated LL.B. (Hons.) program from institutions recognized by the Bar Council of India.

  1. Team Composition: Each team must consist of three members—two speakers and one researcher.
  2. Registration Fees:
    • Phase-I (Preliminary Rounds): ₹3,000
    • Phase-II (Advanced Rounds): ₹3,000
  3. Deadline: Teams must complete their registration by 7th October 2024 via the registration link provided below.
  4. Team Code: Upon registration, teams will receive a unique team code for further communication with the organizing committee.
  5. Payment Details: Participants are required to upload the payment receipt during the registration process.
