About the Event

The 5th Adamas Moot Court Competition (AMCC-2025) is a prestigious event hosted by the School of Law and Justice at Adamas University. Organized by the Adamas Law Moot Court Committee (ALMCC), the competition aims to refine legal research, advocacy, and argumentation skills. This year’s theme focuses on “The Balance Between National Security and Individual Liberty in Criminal Law, with a Focus on Sedition.” Participants will analyze constitutional dilemmas surrounding security laws and free speech in democratic governance.

Format/Structure

  • Preliminary Rounds: Each team competes twice.
  • Quarterfinals: The top teams based on cumulative scores qualify.
  • Semifinals & Finals: The best teams advance to the final rounds, where the winners will be determined.

  • Offline Event: Hosted at Adamas Knowledge City, Barasat – Barrackpore Road, Kolkata, West Bengal 700126.

Additional Details

  • Eligibility: Open to students enrolled in a 5-year integrated LL.B. or 3-year LL.B. program. Each institution can send only one team.
  • Team Composition: 2 speakers + 1 researcher.
  • Registration Fee: ₹1,800 per team (payable via online transfer).
  • Prizes:
  • Winner: ₹50,000 + Trophy + Certificates + 3 SCC Online Web Edition Subscriptions worth ₹72,000.
  • 1st Runner-up: ₹25,000 + Trophy + Certificates.
  • 2nd Runner-up: ₹10,000 + Trophy + Certificates.
  • Best Speaker: ₹5,000 + Trophy + Certificates.
  • Best Researcher: ₹5,000 + Trophy + Certificates.
  • Best Memorial: ₹5,000 + Trophy + Certificates.
  • Quarterfinalists & Above: Merit Certificates.
  • All Participants: Certificates of Participation.
