About the Opportunity

Kumar Legal Research LLP is hiring a skilled and experienced Advocate with a strong non-litigation background. This role requires expertise in drafting, reviewing, and vetting legal documents such as Facility Agreements, Mortgage Deeds, Hypothecation Deeds, Guarantee Documents, Deeds of Assignment, and Indemnity Bonds.

The ideal candidate should have in-depth knowledge of Banking & Finance Laws, Property Laws, and Contract Laws and should be capable of handling legal transactions for banks, NBFCs, and corporate clients.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct title investigations and prepare detailed search reports for banks and NBFCs on Freehold, Leasehold, and Gaothan properties.
• Provide legal opinions and search reports for properties such as Flats, Lands, and Plots for financial institutions.
• Advise private banks on corporate matters, consortium agreements, and External Commercial Borrowing (ECB) documentation.
• Offer legal guidance on security creation for syndicated loans, ECBs, and ensure compliance with RBI regulations.
• Draft and review loan agreements, deeds of mortgage, hypothecation, guarantees, and memoranda of deposit of title deeds.
• Assist clients with project and infrastructure financing and draft related agreements.
• Support foreign banks in securing assets in India and ensure compliance with RBI regulations.
• Conduct due diligence for property lease and sale transactions to ensure legal compliance.
• Perform title searches to facilitate security creation by banks and financial institutions.
