About Vidhi Dharmotsav 2025

Vidhi Dharmotsav 2025 is a three-day National Legal Festival hosted by Amity Law School, Mumbai. The event is designed to bring together legal minds from across the country, encouraging intellectual discourse, legal research, and skill development. The festival comprises nine meticulously curated competitions, including Moot Court, Crime Scene Investigation, Debate, Paper Presentation, Judgement Writing, and more.

Participants will have the chance to compete in both online and offline events, presenting arguments, conducting legal research, and enhancing their analytical skills in a stimulating academic environment.

Vidhi Dharmotsav 2025 consists of the following competitions:

1. Amity Moot Court Competition (Hybrid Mode)

• Rounds: Preliminary (Online), Quarter-Finals, Semi-Finals & Final (Offline)
• Topics: Digital Privacy, AI Regulation, Data Protection Laws
• Prizes:
• Winner: INR 70,000 + Trophy + Certificate of Excellence
• Runner-Up: INR 55,000 + Trophy + Certificate of Excellence
• Best Speaker: INR 10,000
• Best Researcher: INR 10,000
• Best Memorial: INR 15,000

2. Crime Scene Investigation (Offline)

• Participants analyze a simulated crime scene, gather evidence, and prepare a legal report.
• Prize Pool: INR 10,000 (Winner), INR 5,000 (Runner-Up)

3. Debate Competition (Offline)

• Topic: “Should National Security Take Precedence Over Individual Privacy?”
• Prize Pool: INR 5,000 for each category (For/Against)

4. Paper Presentation (Hybrid Mode)

• Topics: AI in Indian Judiciary, Women-Centric Laws, National Security vs. Individual Privacy
• Prize Pool: INR 6,000 (Faculty/Professionals), INR 4,000 (Students)

5. Judgement Writing (Online)

• Participants analyze legal cases and draft judgments based on given facts.
• Prize Pool: INR 5,000 (Winner), INR 3,000 (Runner-Up)

6. Legal Escape Room (Offline)

• A real-time legal challenge where teams solve puzzles under time pressure.
• Prize Pool: INR 5,000

7. Blog/Article Writing (Online)

• Topics: Data Surveillance, Victim Rights, Trade Laws & Indian Agriculture
• Prize Pool: INR 5,000 (Winner), INR 3,000 (Runner-Up)

8. Socio-Legal Photography (Online)

• Theme: Protection and Conservation of the Environment

9. Essay Writing (Online)

• Topics: Social Media & Free Speech, Intellectual Property in Tech, Human Rights in Conflict Zones
