About the Job
OPAP is seeking a qualified and experienced Lawyer to join its in-house legal team, with a primary focus on litigation and international arbitration. The position involves managing a wide range of disputes (civil, criminal, labor, and IP), advising internal business units, and contributing to strategic legal processes.
This is a full-time, permanent position based in Athens, offering exposure to complex legal matters and a dynamic in-house legal environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Represent OPAP Group in litigation and international arbitration proceedings
- Handle civil, criminal, labor, and IP matters with increasing autonomy
- Draft and review legal opinions, pleadings, internal memos, and other legal documents
- Conduct in-depth legal research and case law analysis
- Provide legal consultation to internal stakeholders and business units
- Monitor legal developments, update relevant teams, and recommend necessary legal adjustments
- Participate in internal legal projects and enhance litigation workflows
Location and Mode
Office Location: OPAP Headquarters, Athens, Greece
Mode: In-office / Hybrid (flexible work environment with access to on-site facilities)
Eligibility Criteria
Educational Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Law (LLB)
- Master’s Degree (LLM) in Private Law, Civil Law, or Labor Law (preferred)
Experience:
- 3–5 years of legal experience (law firm or corporate legal department)
- Proven courtroom and arbitration experience required
Language Requirements:
- Fluent in English and Greek (written and spoken)
