National Law University (NLU), Delhi, in collaboration with the Centre for Transnational Commercial Law, the Insolvency and Bankruptcy Board of India, and Insolvency Law Academy, proudly presents the 7th Arun Jaitley International Insolvency and Bankruptcy Moot Competition 2024-25. The moot is set to be a stimulating and challenging platform for law students to showcase their skills in insolvency and bankruptcy law.

About the Event:

The Arun Jaitley International Moot Court Competition is designed to provide participants with a real-world experience in insolvency and bankruptcy law. It invites teams to engage in complex legal issues, with a focus on cross-border insolvency, providing an excellent opportunity for students to hone their advocacy skills.

Prize Distribution:

• Best Team: ₹25,000
• Runner-Up Team: ₹15,000
• Best Speaker: ₹5,000
• Best Memorial: ₹5,000

Event Structure:

Participants will need to prepare both for oral arguments and memorandum submissions. The moot proposition centers around critical issues of insolvency law, including jurisdictional challenges and cross-border insolvency disputes. Teams are expected to research extensively, draft high-quality submissions, and present compelling arguments before a panel of legal experts.

Eligibility:

• Open to law students enrolled in any undergraduate or postgraduate course from any recognized institution.
• Each team must comprise two speakers and one researcher.
