About the Opportunity

NLSIU is inviting online applications for two (2) full-time positions of Assistant Manager – Campus and Residence Life. This opportunity is ideal for dedicated professionals who are passionate about student engagement, campus administration, and ensuring a vibrant residential experience. The positions are residential and based out of the NLSIU campus in Bengaluru and require active involvement beyond conventional work hours.

The Assistant Managers will report to the Director – Campus and Residential Life and will work in close collaboration with students, staff, and service teams.

Format and Structure

The recruitment process will consist of two stages:

1. Initial Screening: Applications will be reviewed, and a shortlist of candidates in a 1:5 ratio will be made.
2. Interview Round: Shortlisted applicants will undergo an in-person or online interview assessed on a 50-mark scale.

Final selection will be based on interview performance and overall profile. Background checks may also be conducted.

Additional Highlights

• Tenure: Permanent position till the age of superannuation (60 years), subject to satisfactory completion of a 2-year probation period.

Eligibility

• Essential Qualifications: Graduate degree in any discipline with minimum 55% marks (50% for candidates with benchmark disabilities).
• Desirable Qualifications: Postgraduate Degree/Diploma in Higher Education, Student Affairs, Hospitality, Social Work, HR, or related fields.
• Experience: Minimum 5 years of work experience with a preference for roles involving student engagement and hostel management.
• Skills: Strong interpersonal and communication skills, problem-solving, and organizational abilities. A commitment to inclusivity and student wellbeing is essential.
