About the University/Organization

Himachal Pradesh National Law University (HPNLU), Shimla, through its Centre for Human Rights and Disability Studies (CHRDS), is committed to interdisciplinary research, advocacy, and education in the areas of human rights and disability law. The centre is dedicated to addressing healthcare, education, employment, and access to justice for people with diversities, with a rights-based and inclusive approach.

About the Event

The Blog Writing Competition invites students, scholars, and professionals to contribute thought-provoking pieces on issues at the intersection of mental health, disability, and rights. The initiative aims to foster conversations around inclusion, stigma, and legal empowerment while encouraging critical thinking and empathetic engagement.

• Word Limit: 1500–2000 words
• Language: English only
• Font: Times New Roman, Size 12, 1.5 spacing
• Citation Style: HPNLU Citation Style (Footnotes only)
• Co-authorship: Allowed (Max 2 authors)

• Barriers to Mental Health Services for Persons with Disabilities
• Legal Capacity, Mental Health, and Supported Decision-Making
• Double Discrimination in Mental Health Disabilities
