Open for Academicians, Researchers, Practitioners and Scholars having expertise in Islamic law, criminal law, human rights and related fields.
Contributors are invited to submit chapters that address, but are not limited to, the following themes:
Historical Evolution:
Analysis of the historical development of Islamic criminal law.
Examination of key milestones and influences shaping its evolution.
Theoretical Foundations:
Exploration of the Quranic and Hadith sources influencing Islamic criminal jurisprudence.
Critical analysis of the principles and theories underpinning Islamic criminal law.
Contemporary Applications:
Examination of the application of Islamic criminal law in modern legal systems.
Comparative studies highlighting similarities and differences between Islamic criminal law and other legal traditions.
Punishments and Sentencing:
In-depth analysis of the various punishments prescribed in Islamic criminal law.
Discussion on the principles guiding sentencing and the concept of rehabilitation in Islamic criminal justice.
Human Rights and Islamic Criminal Law:
Exploration of the compatibility of Islamic criminal law with international human rights standards.
Critical assessment of issues related to gender, minority rights, and due process within an Islamic legal framework.
Reform and Adaptation:
Examination of efforts to reform and adapt Islamic criminal law to
Analysis of the challenges and opportunities in reconciling traditional principles with modern legal norms.
Open for Academicians, Researchers, Practitioners and Scholars having expertise in Islamic law, criminal law, human rights and related fields.
Co-authorship: Co-authorship of maximum two Authors is allowed.
Abstract of 200-300 words in word format with a brief author bio to the Email provided herein.
Word Limit: 3500- 6000 words including footnotes
ILI citation style is preferred
To be submitted in Times New Roman, font size 12pt and double spaced. Main Title should be in full capitals, bold and centered in font size 12pt.Footnotes should be in Times New Roman, font size 12pt.
All submissions will undergo a double-blind peer-review process. Notification of acceptance and suggested revisions will be communicated promptly. Book will be published with ISBN number from a reputed publisher.
Publication Charges: Rs 800/- for Academicians and Practitioners and Rs 400/- for research Scholars
