About the Journal

Amity Law Review (ALR) is a double-blind peer-reviewed/refereed journal published by Amity Law School since 2000. Distinguished personalities in the field of law have been on the advisory editorial board since the journal’s inception. Focused strictly on legal themes, ALR annually publishes research papers, articles, case comments, and book reviews, covering national and international contemporary legal debates across various areas of law. The journal has ISSN 2249-2232 and was previously UGC Approved Journal No. 41080. It is published annually.

Call for Papers

Amity Law Review (ALR) invites submissions for its 20th volume, to be published in 2024. This Call for Papers covers a wide range of legal topics, including civil, criminal, corporate, arbitration, cyber, intellectual property, and more. The journal seeks contributions from academicians, professionals, and jurists.

Eligibility

The journal welcomes contributions from:

  • Academicians
  • Professionals
  • Jurists

Submission Guidelines

  • Co-authorship: Limited to two authors.
  • Abstract: All submissions must include an abstract of up to 250 words outlining the central theme(s) of the paper.
  • Keywords: Maximum of 5 keywords.
  • Categories and Word Limits:
  • Research Papers: 5000 to 7000 words (including footnotes).
  • Notes and Case Comments: 3000 to 5000 words.
  • Book Reviews: 1500 to 2000 words.
  • Longer submissions may be accepted at the Editors’ discretion.

Formatting Guidelines

  • Language: British English spelling and punctuation conventions.
  • Font: Times New Roman, 12 points for main text, 10 points for footnotes.
  • Headings:
  • First heading: 12pt, Bold, Centered
  • Second heading: 12pt, Bold, Left-aligned
  • Third heading: 12pt, Italics, Centered
  • Line Spacing: 1.5 for main text, 1.0 for footnotes.
  • Indentation: 0.5 on both sides.
  • References: Use footnotes, not endnotes.
  • Cover Page: Authors should mention their names, contact details, and affiliations only on the cover page to maintain anonymity.

Authors must ensure that their submissions do not infringe the copyright of any other person. The copyright of published articles will vest with Amity Law School, which will not be liable for any copyright infringement.
