CALR has established five specialized centres, each focusing on distinct areas of law: the Centre for the Study of Contemporary Legal Issues, Centre for Cyber Law, Centre for Commercial and Financial Law, Centre for Study of Dispute Resolution, and Centre for Environmental Awareness. These centres are committed to fostering research that is both analytical and critical, addressing specific legal domains.

Submission Protocols

CALR-JALJ invites scholarly contributions on a broad spectrum of legal topics. The editorial team rigorously reviews submissions, categorizing each into relevant sections corresponding to the centre's focus areas: Contemporary Legal Issues, Cyber Law, Commercial and Financial Law, Dispute Resolution, and Environmental Awareness.

Eligibility and Requirements:

Subject Matter: Submissions may encompass a wide array of legal subjects, requiring a descriptive, analytical, or critical lens. It is imperative that contributions represent original, previously unpublished work not under consideration elsewhere. A strict 15% similarity threshold is enforced to ensure originality, with violations leading to immediate rejection.

Withdrawal Policy: Authors opting to withdraw submissions post-review initiation (within a seven-day period) risk being barred from future submissions, subject to the discretion of Managing Editors or Project Heads.

Word Count: Contributions should ideally span between 3000 to 7000 words, including an abstract ranging from 300 to 400 words.

Formatting Requirements: Submissions must be in Microsoft Word (.docx) format, employing Times New Roman font, size 12, with 1.5” line spacing (endnotes should use size 10 font and 1” spacing). In-text hyperlinks to judgments, laws, treaties, articles, and other legal documents are encouraged, supplemented by citations following the Bluebook 20th Edition style.

Title: An informative title is required; however, if the author prefers, the editorial board can assign a title, which should be communicated in the submission email.

Certification and Recognition:

Authors whose works are published in CALR-JALJ will receive certificates of publication, acknowledging their contribution to the field of legal research.
