About the Journal
The Indian Journal of Law and Legal Research (IJLLR) is a double-blind peer-reviewed journal dedicated to promoting high-quality legal scholarship. It welcomes contributions from students, academics, legal professionals, and researchers across India and abroad. The journal aims to provide a platform for dynamic discussions on contemporary legal issues and developments.
About the Call for Papers
IJLLR invites original and unpublished manuscripts on contemporary legal issues in various formats. The journal encourages submissions that demonstrate comprehensive research, critical thinking, and valuable insights into current and emerging areas of law. Accepted works may be republished by IJLLR without prior author consent.
Categories of Submissions
Category | Word Limit | Description |

Long Articles | 3,500 – 10,000 words | In-depth legal analysis with literature review, gap identification, and recommendations. |
Essays/Short Articles | 1,200 – 3,500 words | Focused arguments with original perspectives or novel interpretations of a legal issue. |
Case Notes/Legislative Comments | 1,200 – 3,500 words | Critical analysis of judgments, legislation, or policy proposals with implications discussed. |
Note: Word counts exclude footnotes.
Format and Structure
- Abstract required for long and short articles.
- Co-authorship allowed up to 3 authors.
- Style & Citation: Times New Roman (12 pt, 1.5 spacing for text; 10 pt, single spacing for footnotes). Bluebook 19th/20th edition preferred.
- First Page: Title, Author(s), Institutional Affiliation, Abstract.
- Second Page Onwards: Main body of the manuscript.

- Submissions: Rolling (no specific deadline)

- All submissions must be original, unpublished, and not under consideration elsewhere.
- IJLLR reserves the right to cross-publish or republish accepted articles.
- Authors are responsible for any copyright or legal issues related to their manuscripts.
