International Sai Sewa Trust (ISST) is a not-for-profit organization committed to fostering social justice, legal literacy, and community empowerment through its various outreach programs. Under the umbrella of the DISHA Scheme, launched by the Department of Justice, Government of India, ISST focuses on increasing legal awareness among marginalized and rural populations.
A notable initiative by ISST is the Social Justice Forum, which functions as a flagship program to educate citizens on rights-based frameworks and ensure access to justice. The Forum addresses issues like women’s empowerment, child welfare, and legal education, while collaborating with advocates, educators, and social workers to design and implement meaningful justice-driven initiatives.
The National Seminar on NyayaSpandana: Empowering Legal Literacy, organized by International Sai Sewa Trust in collaboration with the DISHA Scheme, will be held virtually on 24 August 2025. The event provides a free platform for scholars, lawyers, students, and activists to present their research, share models of legal outreach, and propose ideas to enhance legal awareness at the grassroots level.

Participants will contribute toward building a sustainable dialogue around legal empowerment, with selected papers being published in an ISBN-certified edited volume.

Q1: Who can submit a paper?
A: Law students, researchers, faculty members, lawyers, policy advocates, and social workers.
Q2: Is there a registration or participation fee?
A: No. The seminar is entirely free of cost.
Q3: Is participation certificate available?
A: Yes, e-certificates will be provided to all registered attendees.
Q4: Will the papers be published?
A: Selected papers will be published in a volume titled NyayaSpandana: Empowering Legal Literacy & Awareness with ISBN.
Q5: Can I co-author a paper?
A: Yes, co-authorship is allowed (up to two authors per paper).
Q6: What are the formatting requirements for abstracts?
A: Abstracts must clearly state the research problem, methodology, and key arguments within a word limit of 250–500 words.
