About the Call for Papers

JLSR invites submissions for Volume VI, Issue II from law students, academicians, researchers, and legal professionals. This call for papers is an excellent opportunity for authors to publish their work in a widely recognized legal journal and contribute to contemporary legal scholarship. The journal welcomes original, unpublished manuscripts on various legal subjects, including but not limited to:

  • Constitutional Law
  • Criminal Law
  • Corporate & Commercial Law
  • Intellectual Property Rights
  • International Law & Human Rights
  • Technology & AI Laws
  • Environmental Law
  • Dispute Resolution & Arbitration
  • Banking & Finance Laws

Submission Guidelines

Authors must adhere to the following guidelines while submitting their manuscripts:

General Guidelines:

  1. Originality: Submissions must be original, unpublished, and free of plagiarism. The paper should not be under consideration for publication elsewhere.
  2. Word Limit:
    • Research Papers: 3,000 – 8,000 words
    • Case Commentaries: 1,500 – 3,000 words
    • Book Reviews: 1,000 – 2,500 words
  3. Citation Style: Manuscripts must follow the Bluebook (20th Edition) Citation Format or any other standard referencing style specified in the guidelines.
  4. Co-authorship: A maximum of two authors per submission is allowed.
  5. Format:
    • Font: Times New Roman
    • Size: 12 (for main text), 10 (for footnotes)
    • Line Spacing: 1.5 (main text), 1.0 (footnotes)
    • Alignment: Justified
  6. Submission Mode: All manuscripts should be submitted via email to editor.jlsr@gmail.com in Microsoft Word (.doc or .docx) format.

Review & Publication Process

JLSR follows a double-blind peer review process to ensure impartial evaluation and high-quality selection of papers. The review process includes:

  1. Preliminary Screening: The editorial board reviews submissions to check for plagiarism, adherence to guidelines, and relevance to legal research.
  2. Peer Review: Manuscripts that pass the initial screening are sent for peer review by experts in the relevant field of law. The reviewers assess the paper’s originality, depth of analysis, argument structure, and citation accuracy.
  3. Decision & Revisions: Authors may be required to make necessary revisions based on reviewer feedback before final acceptance.
  4. Publication: Accepted papers are formatted and published in Volume VI, Issue II of the journal.
