About the Organization
The Centre for Business and Financial Laws (CBFL) at National Law University Delhi (NLUD) is a premier research center dedicated to advancing knowledge and scholarship in the areas of banking, capital markets, and financial services. The Centre actively engages with policymakers, academicians, legal practitioners, and industry stakeholders to develop research-driven policy recommendations and thought leadership in corporate and financial law. Through its various initiatives, including research publications, policy discussions, and capacity-building programs, CBFL aims to contribute to the evolving landscape of business and financial regulations in India and beyond.
One of CBFL’s key outreach platforms is the CBFL Blog, which has established itself as one of India’s leading forums for discussions on corporate and commercial law. The blog features insightful contributions from legal experts, scholars, and students, providing critical perspectives on contemporary legal and financial issues.
About the Event
The NLUD Business and Financial Law Review (NLUD-BFLR) is the newly launched flagship commercial law journal under the aegis of CBFL. The journal aims to be a leading platform for academic discourse in business and financial laws, fostering intellectual engagement and critical analysis of contemporary corporate legal issues.
For its inaugural volume, NLUD-BFLR invites submissions from students, academicians, researchers, and practitioners across the legal and financial sectors. This call for papers provides an excellent opportunity for scholars and professionals to contribute to the growing body of knowledge in corporate and financial law and engage in meaningful discussions that shape the future of commercial jurisprudence.

Format/Structure
Submissions are welcome in the following categories:
- Long Articles (Above 5000 words): Detailed and well-researched articles that provide comprehensive insights into specific areas of corporate and financial law.
- Essays (3000–5000 words): Thought-provoking and analytical pieces focusing on contemporary legal issues and emerging trends.
- Book Reviews/Case Comments (1500–3000 words): Critical evaluations of recent books in the field or case law analysis that provide new perspectives on judicial decisions.
All submissions must be original, unpublished, and adhere to academic integrity standards.
Topics of Interest
Submissions can address a broad range of topics within corporate and financial law, including but not limited to:
- Banking & Finance Law: Regulatory frameworks, financial technology (FinTech) regulations, and international banking norms.
- Company Law: Corporate governance, shareholder rights, and directors’ duties.
- Competition Law: Antitrust regulations, market monopolies, and competition enforcement.
- Insolvency Law: Bankruptcy proceedings, corporate restructuring, and cross-border insolvency.
- Securities Law: Stock market regulations, insider trading, and investor protection mechanisms.
- Taxation Law: Corporate tax regimes, GST, and international tax treaties.
Authors are encouraged to submit papers that offer novel interpretations, critique existing legal frameworks, or propose innovative reforms.
Submission Guidelines
- Peer Review Process: All submissions will undergo a double-blind peer review process to ensure quality and impartiality.
- Plagiarism and AI-Detection Policy: Submissions must not exceed a 15% similarity index, including both plagiarism and AI-generated content.
- Formatting: Submissions should follow the Bluebook (21st Edition) citation style and be formatted in Times New Roman, font size 12, with 1.5 line spacing.
- Submission Mode: All papers must be submitted through the designated Google Form link.
Evaluation Criteria
Submissions will be evaluated based on the following parameters:
- Originality – The uniqueness of the argument and research approach.
- Relevance – The importance of the topic in contemporary corporate law.
- Clarity – The coherence and organization of ideas.
- Depth of Analysis – The extent of legal reasoning and supporting evidence.
- Academic Rigor – The use of authoritative sources and proper referencing.
