About the University/Organization

Rajiv Gandhi National University of Law (RGNUL), Punjab, is a premier law university established in 2006, known for academic excellence and a dynamic legal curriculum. It emphasizes a practical approach to legal education by encouraging student participation in moot courts, seminars, and research. The Centre for Alternative Dispute Resolution (CADR), established in 2018, serves as a vital part of the university, promoting ADR methods through academic and professional engagement. CADR’s initiatives include award writing competitions, essay contests, and publications such as the Review of Alternative Dispute Resolution (RADR).


About the Event

The CADR at RGNUL invites contributions for Volume II of the Review of Alternative Dispute Resolution (RADR) under the theme “Instrumentalizing Arbitration and Dispute Resolution in Changing Times.” This annual, student-run, double-blind, peer-reviewed journal aims to foster meaningful dialogue around modern ADR practices, responding to legislative developments such as the Mediation Act, 2023. The call encourages multidisciplinary perspectives on arbitration and ADR from legal scholars, practitioners, and students.

Format/Structure

Submissions are invited in the following categories:

  • Long Articles: 7,000–10,000 words
  • Short Articles: 3,000–5,000 words
  • Case Comments: 2,000–3,000 words
    (All word counts exclude footnotes and abstracts)

Key guidelines include:

  • Abstract: Not more than 300 words
  • Co-authorship: Allowed up to two authors
  • Citations: Must follow OSCOLA (4th ed.)
  • Format: A4, justified text, 1.5 line spacing, font size 12 (main), footnotes in size 10
  • Submissions must be original, unpublished, and anonymized

Location

This is an online opportunity. Manuscripts must be submitted via a dedicated Google Form. No physical presence is required.


Additional Details

The theme spans ADR in digital economies, entertainment, IP disputes, construction and real estate, as well as tax and insolvency matters. Contributors are encouraged to explore innovative ADR mechanisms and legal developments in their submissions.

RADR Volume I saw participation from leading voices in legal academia, and Volume II seeks to build on this legacy. Selected papers will be published by the CADR Editorial Board and contribute to ongoing discussions on accessible justice and legal innovation.
