About the Organisation
The Hamdard Institute of Legal Studies & Research (HILSR), established in 2018, is part of Jamia Hamdard University, an institution renowned for its commitment to excellence in education and social justice. Approved by the Bar Council of India, HILSR offers integrated B.A. LL.B. and postgraduate law programs, emphasizing holistic development, innovation, and inclusivity.
HILSR also operates legal aid and literacy programs, reflecting its mission to serve the underprivileged and enhance legal awareness. The HILSR Law Review is a peer-reviewed e-journal, fostering intellectual discourse and advancing legal knowledge.
About the Event
The HILSR Law Review (HILSR L. Rev.) invites submissions for its inaugural volume, aiming to provide a platform for publishing high-quality legal scholarship. This annual publication encourages contributions that advance critical legal discourse and champion diversity in perspectives.
Submission Guidelines
- Categories:
- Long Articles: 6000–8000 words
- Short Articles: 4000–6000 words
- Commentaries: 1500–3000 words
- Book Reviews: 1500 words
- Formatting:
- Font: Times New Roman
- Spacing: 1.5 lines for main text, single for footnotes
- Citation Style: Indian Law Institute (ILI)
- Plagiarism: Submissions must not exceed 15% similarity.

- Include: Cover letter, abstract (200 words), and 3+ keywords
