The National Law Institute University (NLIU), Bhopal, is a premier law university established in 1997 through Act No. 41 of the State Legislature of Madhya Pradesh. About the Event

The Indian Arbitration Law Review (IALR) invites submissions for Volume 8 of its annual, double-blind, peer-reviewed journal. The journal is dedicated to arbitration law and seeks to publish original, high-quality scholarship from students, academics, and legal practitioners. Published by EBC and indexed on SCC Online and HeinOnline, the journal offers wide visibility to contributing authors.

IALR accepts long and short articles, case comments, and book reviews. While specific sub-themes have been provided to guide authors, submissions on any topic within arbitration law are welcome. The aim is to foster contemporary academic dialogue and contribute to evolving arbitration jurisprudence in India and beyond.

  • Long Articles (4000–8000 words):
    Comprehensive research on contemporary issues in arbitration with critical legal analysis and recommendations.
  • Short Articles (2000–4000 words):
    Focused discussion on emerging trends, judicial interpretations, or legislative developments.
  • Case Comments (1500–4000 words):
    Analytical insight into recent rulings impacting arbitration law.
  • Book Reviews (1000–3000 words):
    Evaluation of recently published books related to arbitration law.

Word count excludes abstract and footnotes. Up to 10% relaxation is allowed at the discretion of the Editorial Board.

Evaluation Criteria:
Submissions will be evaluated on:

  • Grammar and academic tone
  • Structural coherence
  • Contribution to legal literature
  • Contemporary relevance
  • Referencing and research quality

Citation Style:

  • OSCOLA 4th Edition
  • Footnotes only (no endnotes or in-text citations)
