Scope of Topics:
IJAL accepts contributions on a broad range of topics related to arbitration and dispute resolution, including but not limited to:
- International Commercial Arbitration
- Institutional Arbitration
- Multilateral Arbitration Conventions
- Investor-State Dispute Settlement Mechanism (ISDS)
- Investment Treaty Arbitration
- Alternative Dispute Resolution Mechanisms
- Jurisdiction-Specific Issues in Arbitration
- UNCITRAL Model Law on International Commercial Arbitration
Categories for Submission:
- Articles: Minimum of 6,000 words.
- Notes: 4,000 to 6,000 words.
- Book Reviews: 1,000 to 2,000 words.
Submission Deadlines:
- Manuscripts submitted from April 1 – September 30 will be considered for the January issue.
- Manuscripts submitted from October 1 – March 31 will be considered for the July issue.
Contribution Guidelines:
- Manuscripts must include an abstract of 200 words or less.
- Submissions must adhere to the Bluebook (21st edition) citation style.
- Manuscripts must not include the author’s name or affiliation in the document itself, and this information should only be provided on a separate cover page.
Editorial Policy:
- Manuscripts undergo a double-blind review process.
- Authors must ensure their manuscripts have no more than 10% plagiarism and 20% AI usage.
- IJAL retains discretion over the final decision regarding manuscript acceptance or rejection.
