Scope of Topics:

IJAL accepts contributions on a broad range of topics related to arbitration and dispute resolution, including but not limited to:

• International Commercial Arbitration
• Institutional Arbitration
• Multilateral Arbitration Conventions
• Investor-State Dispute Settlement Mechanism (ISDS)
• Investment Treaty Arbitration
• Alternative Dispute Resolution Mechanisms
• Jurisdiction-Specific Issues in Arbitration
• UNCITRAL Model Law on International Commercial Arbitration

Categories for Submission:

1. Articles: Minimum of 6,000 words.
2. Notes: 4,000 to 6,000 words.
3. Book Reviews: 1,000 to 2,000 words.

Submission Deadlines:

• Manuscripts submitted from April 1 – September 30 will be considered for the January issue.
• Manuscripts submitted from October 1 – March 31 will be considered for the July issue.

Contribution Guidelines:

• Manuscripts must include an abstract of 200 words or less.
• Submissions must adhere to the Bluebook (21st edition) citation style.
• Manuscripts must not include the author’s name or affiliation in the document itself, and this information should only be provided on a separate cover page.

Editorial Policy:

• Manuscripts undergo a double-blind review process.
• Authors must ensure their manuscripts have no more than 10% plagiarism and 20% AI usage.
• IJAL retains discretion over the final decision regarding manuscript acceptance or rejection.
