Call for Papers: Volume 11, Issue 2025

JNLUD invites submissions for its upcoming Volume 11 (2025) edition. The journal encourages contributions in the form of articles, notes, comments, and book reviews. The submission deadline is 15 January 2025.

Authors from legal and allied disciplines are encouraged to explore themes relevant to law, policy, and justice, with the journal prioritizing novel research that reimagines the boundaries of law.

Submission Categories and Word Limits

  1. Short Articles: 6000-8000 words
  2. Long Articles: 8000-10000 words
  3. Notes and Comments: Under 5000 words
  • These typically focus on recent cases, policies, or legislation.
  1. Book Reviews: 2500 words
  • Book reviews should offer critical analysis rather than summaries.

All word counts are inclusive of footnotes.

Formatting Guidelines

  • Main Text: Times New Roman, Size 12, Line Spacing 1.5
  • Footnotes: Times New Roman, Size 10, Line Spacing 1
  • Citation Style: OSCOLA (4th Edition)
  • Submission Format: MS Word (doc/docx)

All submissions (except book reviews) must be accompanied by an abstract of no more than 300 words and five keywords.

Review Process

JNLUD follows a double-blind peer review process, ensuring impartiality and rigorous academic scrutiny. Submissions undergo:

  • Desk Review: Initial evaluation by the Editorial Board.
  • Peer Review: Anonymous evaluation by subject experts.

The review process typically concludes within 12-15 weeks.
