About JLDPR

The NLIU-CPS Journal for Legislative Drafting and Parliamentary Research (JLDPR) is an annual, peer-reviewed journal published by CPS. It encourages scholarly work in constitutional law, administrative law, and public policy. The journal serves as a platform for students, academics, and professionals to engage with issues surrounding legislative drafting, parliamentary research, and related areas of public law.

The inaugural edition featured a foreword by Justice Sanjay Karol, Judge of the Supreme Court of India, and the second edition included a commencement note by Padma Shri Dr. T.K. Viswanathan.

Theme

JLDPR Volume III invites submissions on contemporary issues in constitutional law, legislative drafting, parliamentary research, and public policy. The journal encourages innovative, analytical, and unpublished contributions that address significant legal and policy issues in these areas.

Submission Categories and Requirements

Submissions are invited in the following categories:

• Long Articles: 5000 – 10,000 words
• Short Articles: 3000 – 5000 words
• Case Comments: 1500 – 3000 words
• Legislative Briefs: 1500 – 3000 words

Note: Word limits are exclusive of footnotes, and co-authorship of up to three authors is allowed.

Submission Guidelines

• Abstract: Each manuscript must include a 300-word abstract outlining the main ideas and structure.
• Format: Times New Roman, size 12 for body text, with 1.5 line spacing; footnotes should be size 10 with single spacing.
• Citation: Use OSCOLA (4th edition), and avoid substantive footnotes.
• Anonymity: Authors must not reveal their identity anywhere in the manuscript to maintain the double-blind review process.
• Originality: Submissions must be original, unpublished, and not under consideration elsewhere. Plagiarism will lead to immediate disqualification.

All submissions should be made through the Google Form in .docx or .doc format by December 10, 2024, 11:59 PM IST. Submissions made through other means will not be considered.
