National Law University Delhi (NLUD) and West Bengal National University of Juridical Sciences (WBNUJS) are premier legal institutions in India, known for their academic excellence, policy research, and impactful legal scholarship. They frequently host seminars and collaborative academic events promoting legal awareness and policy discourse.


About the Event

This ICSSR-sponsored one-day seminar aims to bring together scholars, practitioners, and students to discuss and critically engage with pressing challenges in policing, cyber frauds, and cyber security in India. It will explore emerging threats, legislative frameworks, enforcement challenges, and policy responses in the digital space. Selected papers may be considered for publication.

Format and Structure

Participants are invited to submit original research papers, case comments, book reviews, and legislative comments. Submissions will be peer-reviewed and evaluated based on academic merit, originality, and relevance to the seminar themes. Selected authors will present their papers at the seminar. Some selected papers may be invited for publication.

Eligibility

  • For 5-year law students: 3rd year and above
  • For 3-year law students: 2nd year and above
  • Faculty members, researchers, and professionals in related disciplines are also eligible
  • Submissions are welcome across disciplines (interdisciplinary perspectives encouraged)

Types of Submissions

  • Original Research Articles: 3500–5000 words
  • Book Reviews, Case Comments, Legislative Comments: Up to 2500 words
    All submissions must follow OSCOLA citation format.

  • Include an abstract (max 500 words) and 5 keywords
  • All word limits are inclusive of footnotes
  • Submissions must be original and unpublished

Evaluation and review will be conducted by faculty and domain experts from NLUD, NUJS, and other reputed institutions.


Team/Individual

Individual authorship or co-authorship (up to 2 authors) allowed.

Q1: Who is eligible to participate?
A: Law students (3rd year and above in 5-year course / 2nd year and above in 3-year course), faculty, researchers, and professionals in relevant fields.

Q2: Is a recommendation/reference required?
A: No, references are not required at the submission stage.

A: Yes, authors of accepted papers and presenters will receive certificates.

A: Participation is free of charge.
