About the University
The National Law Institute University (NLIU), Bhopal, was established under the Rashtriya Vidhi Sansthan Vishwavidyalaya Adhiniyam, 1997 (Act No. 41 of 1997), enacted by the Madhya Pradesh State Legislature.
Recognised by the University Grants Commission (UGC) and the Bar Council of India (BCI), NLIU has emerged as a premier law university in India, producing distinguished alumni and contributing significantly to legal research, education, and policy reform.
About CLT
The NLIU Cell for Law and Technology (CLT), founded in 2019, is dedicated to exploring the dynamic and often complex intersection of law and technology.
The Cell encourages research and dialogue on cutting-edge legal challenges such as artificial intelligence regulation, data privacy, cybersecurity, fintech, and digital governance. By providing a platform for law students and professionals, CLT contributes to shaping legal frameworks that respond to rapid technological advancements in society.

The NLIU-CLT Blog is a student-run initiative that has grown into a trusted voice in conversations on law, technology, and policy.
It publishes high-quality academic writing by students, researchers, and professionals on emerging issues at the interface of law and technology. Over time, the blog has become a valuable resource for discussions on data governance, AI ethics, intellectual property in the digital age, and the future of rights in a connected society.
Above all, the NLIU-CLT Blog reflects the intellectual energy and commitment of NLIU’s student community, raising the bar for thoughtful, future-oriented legal writing.
Theme
The Cell invites submissions on the broad area of “Law and Technology” on a rolling basis.
While there is no prescribed theme, contributors may explore subjects including but not limited to:
- Artificial Intelligence and the Law
- Data Protection and Privacy
- Cybersecurity
- Digital Governance and Public Policy
- Intellectual Property in the Digital Era
- FinTech Regulations and Emerging Technologies
Submission Guidelines
- Format: Times New Roman, font size 12, spacing 1.5, Margins: Normal.
- Word Limit: 1200–1500 words (relaxable at the discretion of the Review Board).
- Referencing: Hyperlink sources within the article. Endnotes may be used if hyperlinks are unavailable. Footnotes are not permitted.
- Anonymity: Do not include author names in the main manuscript.
- File Format: Submit in .doc/.docx only.
- Co-Authorship: Maximum of two authors permitted.
- Originality: Maximum 15% similarity (Turnitin) allowed. No plagiarism.
- Copyright: All posts will remain with the Cell for Law and Technology (CLT).
Review Process
The NLIU-CLT Blog follows a three-stage review process to ensure quality:
- Technical Review – Plagiarism check and AI-use detection.
- Clarity Review – Assessment of structure, language, and readability.
- Legal Review – Verification of accuracy, legal soundness, and relevance of analysis.
This ensures that every article published is original, well-written, and legally rigorous.
