About the University/Organization
The Central University of Karnataka (CUK), established in 2009 by an Act of Parliament, is a rapidly growing institution located in Kalaburagi, Karnataka. It aims to promote equitable access to quality higher education in less educationally developed regions. The University offers comprehensive programs across diverse disciplines including social sciences, with a focus on integration of teaching, research, and innovation. This program is sponsored by the Indian Council of Social Science Research (ICSSR), a premier body under the Government of India established in 1969 to promote social science research across the country.
About the Event
The Department of Education, Central University of Karnataka, is organizing a Two-Week ICSSR-Sponsored Capacity Building Program (CBP) on “Research Methodology and Quality Publications for Young Faculty Members in Social Science” from 7th to 18th July 2025. The program is specifically designed for young, in-service faculty members from social science disciplines and aims to strengthen their research capacities, equip them with advanced methodological skills, and guide them on publishing in high-indexed journals. The training will include sessions on qualitative and quantitative research, statistical tools, ethics, academic writing, and software usage for data analysis.
The program provides free accommodation (shared) and travel allowance (for outstation participants, per ICSSR norms), and meals will be provided to all participants.

- Mode: Offline (Residential for outstation participants)

- 10 from other Indian states
- No leave is permitted during the course
- Laptop required for participation
