About the Event
The Certificate Course in Transnational Dispute Resolution and Modern Technologies is a fully online, interdisciplinary program designed to equip participants with a deep understanding of how transnational commercial law interacts with emerging technologies. It focuses on substantive and procedural aspects of cross-border disputes including litigation, arbitration, mediation, and enforcement of foreign judgments.
Participants will explore topics like jurisdiction, choice of law, investment arbitration, private international law (PIL), enforcement of foreign judgments, and the implications of digitalization—such as cross-border cloud services and cryptocurrencies—on legal systems. The course provides practical exposure through expert-led interactive sessions, case studies, and group discussions.

Format and Structure
The course includes 5 modules:
- Understanding Transnational Commercial Law
- Applicable Law in Cross-Border Commercial and Civil Disputes
- Key Legal Issues in Transnational/International Commercial Litigation
- Enforcement of Foreign Judgements and International Civil Procedure
- Emerging Issues in Transnational Commercial Law
Each module is covered through two 2-hour classes per week (Tuesdays and Thursdays, 4:30 PM – 6:30 PM). Participants are evaluated through continuous assessments, class participation, quizzes, assignments, and a final evaluation.
