About the Role
This role primarily involves overseeing Intellectual Property (IP) matters, including trademarks, copyright, and media law for Tata Communications. The selected candidate will manage the entire spectrum of IP-related activities, including portfolio management, reviewing contracts, and offering IP counsel to various teams within the company. You will also be responsible for reviewing the use of third-party intellectual property and providing IP strategies and legal opinions.

Responsibilities Include:

• Conducting trademark clearance, risk assessments, and managing IP portfolios.
• Advising on copyright, media law, and IP issues, and handling domain name proceedings.
• Drafting contracts, reviewing legal documents, and addressing IP litigation and enforcement matters.
• Supporting M&A activities with IP due diligence and leading IP training initiatives.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor’s degree in law (BA.LLB or equivalent), and at least 5+ years of professional experience in intellectual property law.
• Proficiency in managing trademark filings, copyright issues, and IP litigation is mandatory.
