About the Event
This conference is designed to critically engage with the idea of dignity as a constitutional tool, moving beyond its aspirational connotation to emphasize its relevance in shaping judicial reasoning, legal education, and public policy. The event will unpack the doctrinal, conceptual, and operational dimensions of dignity law through panels involving judges, legal scholars, clinical educators, and students. Participants will explore how dignity is invoked in courtrooms, embedded in clinical pedagogy, and challenged through case law, with a specific focus on Article 21 jurisprudence, preventive detention, and social justice litigation.
