About the Centre:

The Centre for Research in Dharmashastra and Indic Jurisprudence at Dharmashastra National Law University (DNLU), Jabalpur, is dedicated to the revival, research, and dissemination of ancient Indian legal knowledge. The Centre focuses on studying Indian texts, scriptures, and laws from an Indian perspective, with respect to foreign sources, and aims to suggest legal reforms to strengthen India’s judicial framework.

About the Opportunity:

The Centre is inviting submissions for its 2024 blog series to be published on its official website. Authors are encouraged to explore the historical roots of Indic jurisprudence and its relevance in modern Indian legal reform.

Theme:

Reformation in Indian Judicial System: Revisiting the Roots of Indic Jurisprudence.

Suggested Topics:
  • Minimizing Crime Against Women: Reforms with Reference to Indic Jurisprudence.
  • Tracing the Elements of Bhagwad Geeta in the Indian Constitution.
  • Veracity of Capital Punishments: Indic vs. Foreign Jurisprudence.
  • Influence of Invasions on Indic Jurisprudence: A Decolonized Perspective.

Note: The above topics are suggestive, and authors are free to choose other topics in line with the central theme.

Submission Guidelines:

  • Word Limit: 800-1000 words (excluding footnotes).
  • Font Style: Times New Roman/Bookman Old Style.
  • Font Sizes: Headings: 16, Sub-headings: 14, Body: 12, Footnotes: 10.
  • Citation Style: Bluebook 20th Edition.
  • Plagiarism Limit: Maximum 10% (in accordance with UGC Rules on Plagiarism).
  • Co-authorship: Maximum 2 authors per submission.

Important Dates:

  • Last Date for Submission: 5th October 2024.
  • Communication of Acceptance/Rejection: 15th October 2024.
  • Publication of Blogs: Last week of November 2024.
