Rashtriya Raksha University (RRU) is an Institution of National Importance under the Ministry of Home Affairs, Government of India. It is India’s pioneering national security and police university, dedicated to academic excellence in national security and criminal justice education. The university offers advanced and specialized education, training, and research programs for security, strategic studies, and interdisciplinary areas.
The School of Criminal Law & Military Law (SCLML) at RRU focuses on advancing research, capacity-building, and training in criminal law, military law, and national security jurisprudence. It blends academic theory with practical application, preparing legal educators, enforcement professionals, and students to meet evolving legal and security challenges in India and globally.
The 3rd Edition of the One-Week Faculty Development Programme (FDP) on “Technology and Crime: Aligning New Criminal Laws with Tech-enabled Crimes in India” aims to offer a detailed and forward-thinking exploration of India’s newly implemented criminal laws—Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS), Bharatiya Nagrik Suraksha Sanhita (BNSS), and Bharatiya Sakshya Adhiniyam (BSA)—in the context of emerging cybercrimes and technology-driven criminal challenges.
The FDP is designed for academicians, research scholars, law enforcement officials, and legal professionals to critically examine procedural, evidentiary, and technological dimensions of the criminal justice system.
