About NUJS Law Review
The NUJS Law Review is a premier student-run publication by the National University of Juridical Sciences (NUJS), Kolkata. Since its inception in 2008, the journal has been at the forefront of legal scholarship in India. Renowned for consistently topping rankings by SCC Online and recognized by the Supreme Court of India, Ministry of Finance, and the Law Commission of India, the journal has significantly contributed to legal jurisprudence in areas such as intellectual property rights, privacy law, sexuality rights, and election law.
Past special issues have engaged with themes like disability rights and queer jurisprudence, reinforcing NUJS Law Review’s commitment to fostering legal discourse and shaping the future of law and policy.
About the Event
NUJS Law Review is inviting submissions for its Special Issue on Election Law, Reform & Administration. This special issue seeks to engage with the evolving discourse on election law and administrative reforms in India.
In light of recent developments in the 2024 Lok Sabha elections, the One Nation One Election Bill, and the Electoral Bonds ruling, this issue aims to examine the electoral framework, campaign finance reform, the role of the Election Commission, and more. Scholars, practitioners, and students are encouraged to submit original, thought-provoking articles addressing critical election law issues, including but not limited to:
- Political contributions and campaign finance reform
- Model code of conduct and campaign oversight
- Electoral promises and candidate eligibility
- Administrative reforms in election management
- Comparative studies of election law across jurisdictions
