The Faculty of Law, University of Copenhagen is one of the oldest legal faculties in Europe, founded in 1479. The Faculty of Law at the University of Copenhagen is inviting applications for multiple fully funded PhD positions set to begin in February 2026. These positions are ideal for candidates interested in advancing high-level legal research within an intellectually rigorous and supportive academic environment. Research areas must align with core legal disciplines, including but not limited to public law, EU law, international commercial law, and areas taught in the Danish LL.B. curriculum.
Candidates may also apply to the Joint PhD Programme with the University of Iceland, which encourages cross-border academic collaboration.
