The Gujarat National Law University (GNLU) proudly announces the 8th edition of the GNLU Moot on Securities & Investment Law (GNLUMSIL), scheduled for October 3-6, 2024. Established in 2003 by an Act of the State Legislature, GNLU is a premier institute of legal education in India. The university is dedicated to achieving the highest standards of excellence in legal education and producing graduates equipped with the necessary skills to excel as lawyers. GNLU’s commitment to practical and innovative solutions to legal challenges is exemplified by its focus on moot court competitions. The university organizes two major moots annually: the GNLU International Moot Court Competition (GIMC) and the GNLU Moot on Securities and Investment Law (GNLUMSIL).
Since its inception in 2015, GNLUMSIL has rapidly gained recognition for filling a significant void in the Indian mooting scene. This competition offers a unique opportunity for research and student advocacy in the specialized field of securities and investment law. The competition’s success is also due to its esteemed collaborations with prominent organizations such as the Bombay Stock Exchange – Investors’ Protection Fund, National Securities Depositories Limited, Finsec Law Advisors, Shardul Amarchand Mangaldas & Co., RegStreet Law Advisors, Lex Witness, Manupatra, CLA Online, Lawctopus, and SCC Online.
Preparations are well underway for another outstanding edition of GNLUMSIL. The Organizing Committee is dedicated to enhancing the standards of every aspect of the competition.
