About the Role
Continental is inviting applications for the prestigious position of Head of Law – India. The selected candidate will lead the legal department of Continental Automotive India, offering end-to-end legal counsel and compliance oversight across all business verticals. This is a leadership role responsible for strategic legal guidance, contract negotiations, litigation, claims management, compliance, and corporate governance in line with both Indian and global standards.

Format/Structure
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage Continental India’s law department
- Advise business units on legal risks, litigation, contracts, labor laws, and corporate compliance
- Review and negotiate contracts including MSAs, NDAs, and LoIs
- Liaise with external counsel and manage litigation, claims, and regulatory processes
- Oversee contract management tools and templates
- Monitor legal developments and ensure business units are informed and compliant
Qualifications
- LL.B. from a top-tier law school with a strong academic record
- Minimum 15 years of legal experience (private practice + in-house preferred)
- At least 3 years of experience in managing legal teams and leading complex transactions
- Strong exposure to Indian corporate, labor, and procedural laws; international law exposure preferred
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and leadership skills
Preferred Skills
- Experience working in multinational corporations
- Ability to manage external legal providers and control legal costs
- Familiarity with contract lifecycle management tools
